This lecture performance pays homage to the figure of the dash, here used to build bridges between politics and art, between the serious and the playful, and between reality and fiction. The lecture investigates the rhetorical device of interruption and delves into the gaps between images, while attempting to develop an iconography of coups d’état.
Deze lecture performance is een eerbetoon aan het gedachtestreepje, dat hier als een brug wordt ingezet tussen politiek en kunst, tussen ernst en lichtvoetigheid, en tussen realiteit en fictie. De lezing reflecteert over de stijlfiguur van de onderbreking, ze begeeft zich in de tussenruimtes tussen beelden, en doet een aanzet tot de ontwikkeling van een iconografie van coups d’état.
